This holiday season, the eAmbassadors have decided that it would be fun to share some of our holiday traditions with you.  If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I absolutely LOVE Christmas music.  This week, I will be sharing 25 of my favourite Christmas tracks with you 😀hotline sleigh

I’m not sure where to start, as I have been accumulating favourites for many years, but I’ll just go for it.  Enjoy!

This song became a favourite the first time I heard it.  It is frequently on repeat especially during exam season.

When I found this, I cried a little bit.  My two favourite things, Darren Criss and Christmas, together!

I couldn’t choose my favourite version of this song because there are so many spectacular versions but I finally decided on this one because the power of all the sounds in this version always gets me.

Special Shoutout to Allison for showing me this song way back when (maybe grade 11 or 12?).  12 Days of Christmas was never a favourite of mine, but when I heard the Straight No Chaser version, I was hooked.

What playlist is complete without a song that reminds you of your OTP? I’m lucky enough to have my OTP sing (multiple songs) together.  This is one of my favourite songs from the whole show.

Another Straight No Chaser because they’re just too good.  This brings a modern spin to Christmas Music.

Originally by Gordon Lightfoot, but I adore this version.

This song is just so catchy and fun!

My sister and I were in the Toronto Children’s Chorus for 7 years and the Christmas Concert was my favourite part of the season.  I could make a whole playlist of choral Christmas Music, but I don’t know how many of you would be into that 😉 This year is going to be the first time since 2004 that I won’t be singing with the choir and I’m really sad about that.  But here’s one of my absolute favourite songs that we used to sing. (This is an SATB version, imagine it as an SA version)

Trans Siberian Orchestra. That is all.

This is the sound of Christmas!

Gotta throw in a classic here and there.

I found this version a few days ago! I love me some bilingual music.  Also Shy’m is amazing, check her stuff out

I also found out about these guys this past week.  This song reminds me of my years in choir.

This is one of my favourite versions of this song.  The violin is amazing.

I wish I could play this on the guitar.  I love the vibe they brought to this song.

So this song is a family favourite, mostly because it reminds us of the movie Remember the Titans, specifically the part where Ryan Gosling’s character is playing country music and doing a really funny dance.

Pentatonix has two Christmas albums now, and all the tracks are beautiful.  It was very hard to choose one for this playlist.

Another Classic ♥

Individually they make this song great, together it’s Magical

In Trinidad, there is a special genre of Christmas music called Parang.  This is one of my favourites.

*whispers* This song sometimes makes me cry a little bit

I found this song from a free download, possibly from Starbucks but I can’t remember.

I hope that by now they know it’s Christmas, but if not, they should listen.

And to end it off, arguably the most loved Christmas song of all time! Did you really think that I would make a Christmas playlist without this song?

Well I hope that got you in the spirit of the season.  If you use Spotify, feel free to follow me (and my multiple Christmas playlists) here: https://play.spotify.com/user/11157629520 and be sure to comment or tweet me (@AshaCGL) with your favourite Christmas songs to add to my ever growing list.

Even though this whole post is full of music, don’t worry, you still get a song of the week.

Song of the Week: Hymn for the Weekend – Coldplay ft. Beyoncé

I will try to be posting in the coming weeks, but after Friday I’m not sure what kind of internet I will have, because I’ll be in London for Christmas!
